Intermitent electrical problems
I have a 2001 chevrolet venture with 112Kmiles on it. Recently, I have had the following symptoms:
-Engine will turn over but won't start, after a few tries the engine will finally give in and run but none of my interior accessories(radio, climate control fan) and some of my indicators(signal lights, cluster lights)will work. Sometimes it does this, and other times everything works just fine.
I have limited electrical troubleshooting expeience, but I think the engine trying to start, but not, is indicative of the fuel pump not delivering enough pressure(or none at all). And all of the other stuff may be due to be a short or loose connection somewhere, or maybe there is a "junction" box somewhere, that has connections for all of the interior stuff + a wire that goes to the fuel pump that has gotten some moisture in it causing everything to behave erratically.
Has anyone else had this problem, and for anyone with experience, does it sound like I am on the right track?
