i got pulled over by the cops and was given a ticket for my exhaust... i have a court date now the thing is i stay in cali has anyone been pulled over for it? if so wat happened? i was thinking of taking the exhaust off and putting a factory one or the ones that look like the factory.

What up. It's been a while since I've posted but anyways, I got pulled over and I just took off my aftermarket and put the stock back on, got the ok, and put the afternarket on again.

is a FIX it or its a NON CORECTABLE VIOLATION.. if its a fix it, put the stock unit on get it signed by a CHP, go to court and pay $10 and ur fine.

a non fix it, just pay the fine no need to remove the exhaust.

did you get cited for excessive noise or for an illegal exhaust. there are those 2 sections and more i believe. i got the excessive noise one and got it down to $30 bucks no inspection or anything.

yea i know i havent been on for awhile been working and skool and fixing minor things on the car man. but yea the exhaust is only the muffler not the whole exhaust system like he put on the ticket. its a non correctable violation. the cop told me my exhaust was way too loud, louder than anything he had heard from any other car. but on the ticket it says, 27151(a)vc-modified exhaust system. so yea the car did past the emission crap i have the papers but i dont know if that would help me at all in court im going tomorrow cuz is the only day off and my mom dont know lol. so yea pay the fine or go and buy another exhaust, factory style, get it put on and pay for that and the fine.?

ok so i went to pay the fine damn it man it was 114.00 thats as much as the exhaust it stuff. but oh well thats wat i get. the moron of the story is dont high rev in second gear in a 35 zone with cops around you.

well that sux for you. They pulled me over for loud exhaust but i told the cop that i had a silencer and he told me to put it on and didnt give me the ticket. Some cops are cool and some arent.

Those tickets are the easiest to fight. The cop didn't have a decible reader so he couldn't legally give you a ticket. You bring the documents showing you pass smog and get a silencer and your good to go. Cops can't legally give you a ticket for exhaust in Cali unless they have a decible reader or you are running with no cat. If a cop gives you another ticket for the same thing after you fight and win, then you can file for harassment, because that's exactly what it is. They never pull over the fags with Escalades and an exhaust that is loud and illegal, but they pull over young people with legal exhausts.

21 yrs man im old lol. but yea man sux i could have save that money for my other car that im going 2 get bmw 325i 2004 on purchase im getting it for 519 and a new one 2006 on lease im getting at 422 for 2yrs dang i dont know wat to go for now lol. but yea back to the ticket i paid it off 114 thats a lot for me lol. i lost my silencer it fell off somewhere in l.a. ill see wat i get pull over for next time maybe cuz the car is about 5-7 inches off the ground i still havent got my suspension fix man.

ya man, its a bitch to live in cali. were restricted when i comes to everything. except who we can have as governer, otherwise everything else is anal.
