Started the tune up... holy crap...

Well i got the spark plugs in... it wasnt really a bitch just not as easy as plugs should be...
the plugs i pulled out look like they are older than 95 ive never seen a rusted plug before ill post pics of them... dam they were tight... 2 of them were cracked..

i still have a misfire but i didnt get to the wires and distributor cap and rotor...

im def buying an intake tonight! that stock intake is crap the hole is like the size of 2 half dollars.. geeze....

I drained the radiator... it looked like coffee... i have the water and bottle of flush in there now i drove maybe 30 miles so far....

Did the engine flush... put full synthetic mobile 1... with a super tech filter.....i notice a change in oil pressure going to synthetic... no leaks i could see yet... but with my luck there will be....

need to do the tranny!!!!!!!!! i just keep putting it off im an ass!!!!the pan gasket has been leaking onto the exhaust pipe thats the bad smell.. i took it our for a spin i think the tranny ijust going to die with in the week its horrible... it slips into 3rd and 4th.....

is there anthing i missed so i can get better than 4mpg???? im getting bout a 100 to a tank it horrible.....

its killing me.....

change that cap and rotor and wires - use the anti-seize on the plugs!!

also, change the pvc, and fuel filter if you haven't already. clean your MAF sensor and Idle Air Control sensor.

have you done your CPI and nut kit yet ?

sludge in the front is probably from the typical, common, "weeping oil" lines. I wouldn't worry about it unless you are losing significant amounts of oil ... usually they "weep" at the crimps a little bit ...

flushed your cooling system lately? change your rad cap to a Stant brand cap!

tune 'er up ... git 'er done!

pcv - not pvc (positive crankcase ventilation) valves are about $5.00 tops. (plugs into the valve cover, connected to the throttle body with a rubber hose)

DRDD suggests replacing the fuel filter (about $25.00), not the fuel pump (about $300.00)

I'm not sure that I'm understanding you correctly. You're sayind that you have not done the CPI / nut kit yet?

If not, that is the reason for your 4 mpg. It happens to nearly all 95s. Your tune up will be a waste of time and $$ if you haven't fixed the CPI problem ... search CPI and nut kit on this forum ... you'll find lots of info ...

you cat convertor is probably dying too depending on how long you've been driving with the fuel problems ...

Re: Started the tune up... holy crap...

if the cpi is leaking, and you continue to drive it, you may have a fire clame to your ins. company, your dumping raw gas into the cats honeycomb, which burns extra hydrocarbons, you can/will catch the carpet on fire inside, best to find out when the cpi nut kit was done

Re: Started the tune up... holy crap...

tranny= going somewhere, cpi= safly going somwhere, if both items have issues you need to fix both, but the cpi is a safty issue on top of gas mileage and emissons if your state/provence has them
