Eclipses talkin it up

I've been going through different forums on different websites and it seems like this particular one I ran across had a few people full of sh*t on it. Tell me what you think and check it out.

Re: Eclipses talkin it up

Honestly its kept mainly in check. Seems like most of those guys know there shit. Other than the low 9 second passes. There is no name calling and otehr things like you get on a Honda forum.

Re: Eclipses talkin it up

Agreed Stealthee, but keyword FEW, like the one you mentioned and the one that said "my question would then be, why hasnt someone weight reduced their 3SX? also, from what i've seen the fastest one isnt a stealth, its a GTO.... but i definetely agree that the 3SX's are much faster from the factory and the 3rd gen VR-4's are just **** sexy

on a side note, however, i raced a RT/TT today starting at 60, and ate him up :bwekk:"

For one thing its not a 3SX its a 3/S , and is it possible he beat a stealth RT/TT? Yes but not likely that he had a kill as mentioned. Those are just a few things I noticed and was curious what everyone else thought. Oh yeah, why is that Honda forums use uncensored vulgarities like they are paid to do so...Just curious

Re: Re: Eclipses talkin it up

I cant subject myself to Honda forums enough to tell you the answer. I had to search some a few times for answers about a friends car and lost brain cells reading the nonsense. 95% of Honda forum posters have no clue as to what they are talking about.

EX: My car cranks but it wont start.
Answer #1 Did you put a new battery in?
Answer #2 I think your starter is bad.
Answer #3 I would try jump starting it.

Back on topic, I doubt the kid raced a TT if hes stock.

Re: Eclipses talkin it up

I'd re-think your opinion on eclipses. The '97 GSX has 210 horsepower with 500 less pounds, and they have a MUCH bigger choice in aftermarket parts than the 3000GT. You can buy turbo kits for less than 2 grand that will put them well over 300 horsepower. They can pull harder than most people think, trust me, I just ran one the other day. So don't put them completely out of the picture.

I said stock. In stock form they are matches for NA 3s's. THey wont beat a TT stock for stock. The TT 3s puts more power to the wheels than a GSX/GST makes at the crank.

I read that whole page and didnt find any evidence of "shit talking" on 3000GTs, sounds to me like your the one who cant stand Eclipses. and for the record a 91-94 eclipse GSX for 1800 bucks plus 3000 bucks in bolts ons will run 11's. where else you gonna run that fast for that cheap?

Re: Eclipses talkin it up

I agree^^^^^
I didn't see anything that was really that far off the mark well bar the fact that stealths are faster than the GTO's but I'm a bit bias as I have a GTO and as far as I concerned its the fastest
The eclipses I hear are fast I seen a couple, not many, but there are alot more parts out there for them. I think if you put 3k into a GTO/stealth TT etc and 3k into an Eclipse I reckon the GTO/stealth TT would still win IMO though it may be tight.

End of the day though the 3000GT and the GTO were built as "supercars" and the Eclipse a mid priced general road sports car for the family I know the one I would prefer to say I own
As for the final product there is no replacement for displacement, I think that says it all really

This thread was not meant to bash the eclipse forum but to find out the opinion of you guys on those few remarks. Thanks for your post though.

I'm gonna close this. I see no point to it.
