Anyone else having these problems?

I have a 2004 Colorado Z71. I really like the truck but have been having some issues. I have actually driven my truck 5 days since November 9th. The rest of the time it has been at the dealership. The check engine light keeps coming on and they are getting a misfire code from the 3rd cylinder when they put it on the computer to check the light. The first time they were supposed to replace the valve guide seals. They didn't. They replaced 2 spark plugs and cleaned the throttle body. I picked it up and 15 minutes later the check engine light came on. Took it back and they had it for 10 days, in which they replaced the valve springs and decarbed it twice. Picked it up and by the time I got home the light was on again. Now they are supposed to be replacing the cylinder head. My problem is this. I have heard, and I stress that I have just heard this, I have no proof. But that in the Colorados, Chevy has had a problem with the 3rd and 4th cylinders getting too hot, because of the way the cooling system is designed. My point is that they can replace the cylinder head but, unless they fix the actual problem it's just going to happen again. Probably after the warranty is gone. Anyone else had this problem? I also have a cracked windshield that happened a month after I bought the vehicle. Chevy insists that a rock hit the windshield. The thing is that the crack started below the hood, and there is no starburst pattern that would be typical of a rock hitting it. Of course the crack goes across the entire windshield. I have had to have the radio replaced, and part of the plastic part of the seat replaced. Shortly after I got the truck I had a shock leaking. And I have gone through some tires because the alignment was really off. I have 70,000 miles on this vehicle and I realize that some of it is normal maintenance, I just wondered if anyone else had these issues and if there was anything I can do about them.

You are just not having any luck with these, i have not heard of the check motor light thing yet, if i hear any thing i will let you know, but i do know that the stock tires have a hard time balancing and wearing.

I bought a 2004 Colorado and had a similar problem with the check engine light coming on but mine was for cylinder 5 misfire.... I took it in and they replaced the valve springs 2 or 3 times and the problem still existed. Then they replaced the cylinder head and the light never came back on but the truck never had the power it use to... I filed for the lemon law so I actually only drove the truck another couple thousand miles anyway. When all said and done GM gave me all my money back.. Have you kept all the paperwork on it getting fixed?
