Can't bleed brakes

I just finished replacing the rotors, calipers and pads on my 99 jimmy, I had mysone jump in the drivers seat and pump the brake pedal several times and hold it...I then loosened the bleeder screw on the rr tire...then tightend before releasing the pressure on the brake pedal. I did this several times but I can't seem to get the brake fluid back to the caliper...what am I doing wrong...and yes I did a search and could not find anything...

run a rubber or vinyl tube from the bleeder screw into a clear tupperware bowl full of clean brake fluid.

push the pedal three times and hold, your assistant will see air bubbles in the tupperware bowl full of fluid. Pumping the brakes before opening the bleeder screw won't do anything.

tighten bleeder screw and release pedal. Top off the master cylinder with clean fluid. Don't let the master cylinder get too low or you'll suck air into the system. Not sure on a 99, but on my 97 (rear drums), the master cylinder is in two halves. The largest half is for the rear brakes, the smallest for the front.

repeat until there are no more bubbles.

Assuming you are working with the calipers check to make sure you installed them on the right side. The first time I did this type of thing I installed the right caliper on the left side and vise versa, what happens is when it's on the wrong side the bleeder screw will sit below the center line of the caliper which means all the air will pool (a small amount of air, but enough of it) in the top part and will never be able to be sqeezed out.

My repair program says you are going to need a tech 2 scanner or a ABS system capable scanner to get/finsh up the bleeding job.
Did you have any ABS codes before brake work or is the ABS brake light on now?
Try turning the key on and check for abs light or codes and then turn it back off and see if you can get pressure to the rear wheels.
