Where is it coming from?

I have a puddle under my drivers side floor mat every time it rains. and before you ask......no its not the heater core. It happens only when it rains. even if the car stays parked. I drive a 98 LeSabre Custom. Can anyone be of help? I'd really like to get this fixed so that my floor doesnt rust and then rot out.

Re: Where is it coming from?

My bet is on a windshield leak, or a leak at a body seam.
Any leak is easy to fix, its just finding it thats the challange. Try pulling the carpet and mats away and get under the dashboard and see if you can find a tell-tale drip marks on the firewall, etc.

Try closing the door and having a buddy dribble water from a hose over specific locations and see if you can see a leak.

When I have done this in the past, I end up just about standing on my head to get under there. Its undignified, but effective.
