being safe in an mr2

ok well i REALLY REALLY WANT AN MR2

i can be responsible if i want to, if i get this mr2 tha tim lookin at, id be careful.

Its not gonna be my FIRST car, ive driven my lumina for almost a year or so

but ya basically after crashing into an island in the snow with my lumina, im alot more cautious atleast, if the weather is bad

so ya ive been reading and alot of people talk about mr2s spinning out easily, is it cuz they go into corners TOO fast, or is it just turning in general? (somethin about letting off the gas?)

LIke what if i take turns at 10-20 is that too fast?

and people say not to drive it in the rain? snow hell no im not driving in but i dunno about rain (for snow im driving the lumina, if we sell that im goin with the gvan)

people talk about running the car at its limits and stuff

does that mean like over 100+ and stuff? like is the car still crazy goin 60 on the highway?

i really want one, but i dont wanna end up spinning out on a highway

nor in the rain, but i dont wanna have to not drive it when it rains, unless its super bad

are mr2s fine on regular days like, no snow, rain or anything, just like freezing or really hot and stuff? (like 30 degrees or 80 or somethin)

Re: being safe in an mr2

I just drove my 85 MR2 20 miles home from work through 2 inches of sleeting/snow and last week I drove to work in 7-8 inches of snow.

I have snow tires and I have driven these cars for 15+ years. If you take your time, are a reasonable human being and respect the handling of the car, they do just fine.

They are a challenging car to handle if you are driving fast - if you are pushing the car. As long as you drive within the limits of the law, you should never, ever have a problem .... unless you have crap tires.
