Slipping clutch?

Hey Guys and Gals: 95 Rodeo, 5sp, 4x4.
Lately i've noticed that i can let off the clutch, and without touching the gas, i can drive on flat land at a pretty good clip, considering i'm not even on the gas pedal. Is this normal?
And i dont know if this is related, but when i'm accelerating in first or second gear, theres a point where it feels as if the rear wheels are slipping, as if i where on gravel, but i'm on dry pavement. It feels like theres no traction, then suddenly it grabs. No, i'm not doing burn-outs either. Is this the clutch slipping? Could this be related to the other issue i mentioned?

You could have a failing clutch and a clutch slave or master cylinder going out at the same time.

I dont know about the first thing, but a test to see if your clutch is slipping (test isnt good for a clutch) is to get going like 20mph, push in the clutch put it into 5th gear then rev a little and drop the clutch, if it instantly bogs down and dogs like usual it isnt slipping, if it revs and then catches, it is. Also check slave and master cylinder first, people often diagnose a bad clutch before checking those things, I just had my clutch replace with 166,000 original miles on it and I was told the slave cylinder was bad and that is probably what killed the clutch, so to think if the slave cylinder would have been replaced I could still be going on the original clutch right now.
