Car dies

Sometimes when I start my car it just dies. The clock resets to 1:00 but I don’t lose any of my radio presets. So I’m not sure what might be wrong. Plus there is no consistency to it. I have a 97 GTP

Re: Car dies

Make sure all the battery connections and grounds are clean and tight, after that it gets tougher.

Re: Car dies

I agree with Max, try the simple stuff first, like cleaning battery cables and grounds. If that doesn't help, it sounds like a possible ignition switch issue, fairly common on these cars.
