hydraulic valve lifters

Hi, I am rebuilding a 92 geo metro 3 cylinder eng. I would like to know if there is a way to test the old lifters before reinstalling them in the eng? Thanks for any help. Jeff

I think the haynes manual has specs on those if you have a micrometer.

I am not sure if we are on the same page . I was wanting to know how to test the lifter function, is it bleeding off too fast or too slow etc. If I did not understand what you were saying please let me know. Thanks Jeff
