What has better reception and channels in Canada, SIRIUS or XM radio?
Canada finally got it's act together and we can now get a Can. version of XM and SIRIUS satalite radio. I can't wait! But now comes the decision. I believe I've heard that Sirius charges 14.99/month, versus Xm's 12.99/month. After 2007 only Xm will offer NHL. I've heard 80 chan. for Xm, and 100 for Sirius. Has anyone found that one or the other will not get reception in certain areas? Do you have to be within line of sight to the satalite? And how much does it cost to get it set up for home use? Is it hooked up to a power sorce or does it run on batteries, or need to be recharged? Do certain head units get better reception then others? Is it possible to get reception to the U.S., I'm sure their channels would be better and probably more choices too.
Sorry about bombarding everyone with questions, but I usually research alot before I buy. Plus, please add in your favorite channels!

um i know next to nothing about details on satellite radio, but i dont think you have to worry about reception even in canada, i mean the whole point of it is you can get reception everywhere.

Xm has better in Winnipeg, Mb than Sirius

Just to follow up on this thread, I heard that anyone in Canada who bought an american version prior to Nov. 2005 is now cut from service and has to begin a new contract. There must be a few who are pissed off!
