Re: motor SWAP HELP GUYS ASAP!!!!!1

if the motor is obd2 then your obd1 injector wiring wont fit the obd2 injectors. you can just swap your obd1 injectors over and it will be good

Re: motor SWAP HELP GUYS ASAP!!!!!1

Since you said you swapped over to the obd1 distributor, I'm going to assume you're using the OBD1 engine harness. If that is the case, use your stock injectors and swap voltage regulators in your alternator (because 1 plug is square and the other is round). Wire for the extra o2 sensor (if you haven't already). You'll also need an OBD1 to OBD2b conversion harness to plug in the '98 ITR ECU, if you're using it.

Re: motor SWAP HELP GUYS ASAP!!!!!1

Try putting in the rear mount first, then the passenger side and then the drivers side. This has worked the best when I've helped my friend do swaps. As far as I'm concerned, it's the easiest mount to get in. You just have to take a pry bar, pry it forward and have someone else jack the engine up slowly into place.

Re: motor SWAP HELP GUYS ASAP!!!!!1

check your water temp sensor and your tps.

as far as the head gasket goes, do a compression test (hints:this should be done on all new swaps ).

over heating.....................check your cel 6.

white smoke is common with new swaps. its cause alot of moisture builds up from just sitting there.

a compression and leakdown should confirm other wise.
