Vibration, Frame Beaming, wash board

I too have a serious problem with a new 2005 1500 ext cab 4x4 Z71. I bought this truck wanting to replace my 1997 1500 ext cab 4x4 Z71. I did test drive it on unfamiliar roads. Once I bought it and was driving it home on roads that I had been on before, I immediately noticed the severe vibration. I call it the washboard effect. It is so bad that I stopped and looked at the tires to see if one was low or flat. The dealer drove it and agreed something is wrong. In 6 months it has been to the shop 5 times. they have aligned, balanced, load balanced, and put a new set of Goodyears that have Kevlar sidewalls, and it still bounces like crazy. I asked them to contact corporate for help. All I got was the frame beaming bulletin and a directive from Gm to the dealer, not to do anything else to it. I am completing the lemon law process and should have arbitration in January. All I can tell you people that are parroting GM's stance, that it is designed to be a truck is this..my 97 of the same configuration drives like a dream compared to this one. The 2005 is horrible...I have not driven it because it is so bad. It is 6 months old and has 1200 miles on it from going back to the dealer and for test drives. On the final repair attempt, GM didn't even send the district service manager to drive it...they did nothing. It is amazing to me that everyone who has actually driven this truck, including 5 people from the dealer agree that something is VERY wrong. GM decides to hide behind a 2 paragraph bulletin, and refuses to acknowledge this serious safety concern.
I would like to know how anyone elses attempts to get their situation resolved was handled. If arbitration fails, I will be forced to hire an attorney. Until then I'll drive the smooth riding 97 Z71....

Post the meat of the bulletin, I know some one with this truck, not z71, with no problems.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Condition/Concern:
Beam shake vibration is usually felt in the seat and occurring between 40-50 mph. Hertz reading using an EVA tool normal are between 8-24 hz. This condition is most common on extended cab and crew cab models but has also been noted in other models.

Recommendation/Instructions:
The severity of beam shake may vary from vehicle to vehicle. To determined if the concern is beam shake please perform the following:

Test drive vehicle to confirm the condition. A beam shake condition will usually respond to concrete type pavements more than asphalt, so the vehicle should be driven over both surfaces if possible.
Place 200-500 pounds in the pickup bed between the closed tailgate and the wheel wells. A beaming condition should dissipate.
If the concern is determined to be beam shake, this is a normal characteristic and no repair attempts should be made. A Field Product Report should be submitted by following bulletin 02-00-89-002C.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
