Finally, A Way To Efficiently Bypass The Fan Problem, I think This Deserves a Sticky

Aright guys i dont know if any of you guys know this already but here goes.

Ive come to figure out that the relays to the escorts fans have been causing huge problems, The most significant one is the low speed relay. The high speed relay seems to automatically go on when the car is a hair away from being too HOT. The slow speed does not go on when its supposed to (sumwhere around right in the middle of normal on the gauge. Ive also come to find that the ignition also causes problems and throws of the relays for some reason. So this quick fix wont cost you more than 40 dollars and about 30 minutes of time providing you know what you're doing.

The fix is a product Zirgo has, Check them out at Zirgo.com, this product is called a fan manual temperture control switch. You just purchase this puppy, put its sensor in your return radiator hose, hook up some simple wiring and thats it. Ive had the thing running for a few months now and stills working like a charm. You can maually set what temperature you want the fan to turn on, ( I SUGGEST WHEN THE GAUGE READS RIGHT PAST THE CENTER OF NORMAL). GOO LUCK AND HOPE YOU GUYS FIND THIS USEFUL

Sounds like a good idea. What I've never liked, if I'm not mistaken here, is that the fan runs on low speed when the A/C is on. Seems like it would be better if it ran at full speed. Especially when you are stopped. Most big Semi Trucks have a manual overide switch and you can turn on the fan whenever you want. The only time mine goes on high speed is when the gage is almost to the red. That only happened once when I had a radiator clogged. Aside from that it has only run on low speed and I used to work in Death Valley where it was 120 in July. Still only ran low speed.
