Thunderbird V8 vs 380HP Supercharged Beast....

Yes. "I finally got some money for food" I thought to myself as I was sitting at the redlight, making a right turn onto the main, two-lane road (each way) that leads to town, heading towards the local pizza joint.

Light turns green, and I make my right turn, and just happen to check my rearview mirror to see what got stopped at the red light. Hmm.. something with foglites pretty low to the ground, and another random vehicle. Probably some wanker in a BMW or something. I think nothing of it. I continue on down the road, with some Jason Aldean blasting, but then I get into a bottleneck. An '05 Mustang V6 in the right, and a newer Impala in the left. Sweet. Stupid idiots clogging traffic.

That allows for time for this mystery vehicle to catch up. I look over.. hm.. I say to my friend "Hey.. I've seen this Lightning at the drag strip before.." the first thing I notice were the triple A-Pillar gauges... then I notice the bling-bling 20" rims... then I see "LIGHTNING" on the fender.

Since were both kinda held up in traffic, me and the Lightning passenger exchange glances.. it went something like this..
Me:
Him:
Me:
Him:

We both kind of simutaneously slow down to let those two fudge packers ahead of us, get way ahead.. we're pacing each other at about 45..

We exchange a quick glance..
Me:
Him:

Then all of a sudden.. WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR the sound of a twin screw roots type super charger at WOT... The Lightning instantly gains a car length on me, by the time I click it out out of over drive. The 1st Gen 4.6L 70mm Throttle Body opens up wide, allowing the cold night air in, to be atomized. The RPM's shoot up, and I'm thrusted into my seat. But all is lost. By the time we get to 80 I had fallen behind about 3 or 4 car lengths..

But I just had to have more ownage. The Lightning tail gates the Impala untill he moves, and we both fly past the Mustang and Impala. Once again we pace eachother at about 50.. and exchange more looks..

Me:
Him:

Then, again, the sweet sound of the blower fills my ear, and the truck squats, and takes off like a rocketship. I click it out of O/D again, and try my best to keep up with this much more superior vehicle. This time we get up to about 90.. with me about 6 car lengths behind..

I pull up once more to the Lightning..
Me:
Him:

Its about at this time I notice my turn is comming up............

Well....i have all respect for all vehicles on the road, but i wouldn't go chasing pick up trucks to race with, truck owners around here are old dads just minding their own business and knowing nothing about racing, yeah....people dont really pick on them unless they start shit first, you know the drill.......
