I was wondering if anybody knows why my blower only works on the 3 and 4 setting ( I don't have any power on the 1 or 2). I first noticed this after I had a stereo installed and i'm thinking it maybe has something to do with a wire they had to disconnect and reconnect (??) . It's rather annyoning because it's either all or nothing. Any suggestions? Is it something easy to fix?

Re: Blower Fan
The last guy has it absolutely right...
coincidence has it that i JUST replaced mine about an hour ago... it is DEFINITELY a difficult thing to do yourself only because of the aqward position that the the screws are in and it's a confining place. If GM's designs were more user friendly this would be an EASY 10 minute job..but with standard tools only, it becomes a bit of a challenge. Indeed...passenger side, remove the blower fan (3 screws) unclip the clip to the motor resister blower, then two screws hold that down. unscrew it then put your new one in and the screw everything back together. Again i'll reiterate...the ONLY diffuculty in this job is to get the screws out and back in place. |
