Treasury says Cuba can't send players to Classic

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2259278

The gist of the article is that Cuba can't play in World Classic baseball tournament because of the embargo against Cuba. Now, I'm no fan of Castro and his government, but that was a dumb decision. I know there is an embargo (not to go into if thats a good idea or not), but it seems that there is no down side to their participating. I hope the MLB commisioners office takes this one to court. I don't see the difference between this and the olypmics which Cuba is not shut out of.

Hmmmm, that really doesn't make any sense.

Another fine example of why the US is loathed abroad.

Completely idiotic. I can't express how stupid...

Hell, I give up.

I agree with Yogs, there is no downside. It just seems like another example of punishing the people instead of the ones in charge (which boils down to what the embargo is doing).

Maybe they are afraid that as good as the players are in Cuba, that they might win.

When we go to the bathroom to do #2 (take a dump) we say we are sending a letter to Castro.
