Re: stupid question...........

Start the burnout in 1st then... Clutch in, shift, drop clutch, keep right foot on floor and allow rev limiter to kick in.

I try to shift it but I smell my clutch burning when I do it. Why rev to the rev limiter?

Re: stupid question...........

The engine will hit the rev limiter when you shift because... your right foot is to the floor!!!
To keep from burning your clutch, you must shift fast enough that the tires don't quit spinning. If they stop and you attempt to start spinning them from 2nd, you will probably not get the clutch to hook up and then you will be slipping the clutch instead of the tires.

I get better spin when leting out on the clutch a little slower I smell it every now and again but not to bad. It doesnt spin like a drag car in second but you can definetly feel it

b/c that's why I bought the car . Just b/c it will. If I wanted somthing to just drive around , I would have bought a suzuki forenza
or somthing like that. Why pay for the HP and tourque and not play with it. I never said that it's somthing I do every time I take off either.
