Worn synchros?

I just bought a 2001 GT with about 50k miles on it. Currently when I shift into second gear I get a noticable clunky feel almost as if the tranny doesnt want to go into second gear. I noticed that it doesnt do this when shifting into any other gear, just second. I also noticed that when I double clutch I dont have this problem. So I'm pretty sure that it is a problem with my 2nd gear synchros. Can anybody verify that this is in fact my problem or suggestion another problem I might have? And also offer a possible fix? Any input would be greatly appreciated. THX

Re: Worn synchros?

Can't verify without taking apart the transmission, but that is what the transmission in my Volvo was doing before I rebuilt it. I had to replace the 2nd gear synchro.
