Red face Engine Light

How do I get the engine light to go off? I am now located in Germany so I can hang it up for finding a good repair person. I am getting ready to sell this POS and would like to get the light turned off before I do. We took it several times in the states to Lincoln dealers but the light would come back on a day later.

Any thoughts?

It is obvious that there is a DTC stored in your computer. Diagnostic trouble codes are there for a reason. If the dealer did work to correct the problem, they may have not reset the computer. Disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then reconnect and then see if the light comes back. If it does, you need to pull the DTC and find out what the problem is. Here in the US it is illegal to sell a car with major problems without disclosing it, let alone unethical.

Re: Engine Light

I will try the two options you said.

As for the other I do not think there is an issue. And is there really ethics when it comes to selling used cars?
