uti

hey guys its been a couple of months and decided to tell you guys about my experience at universal technical collage.i quit and am now back home and when i tell you guys why it will be no shocker at all. first off i was lied to my face by there represenitive who came to my house. "you will be in lab more then you will class." thats how he lied to my face about. you get no real lab time untill the middle. the classes are three weeks long. this is reason 1 why i quit. i got out of basic engines and did not remember half of what he taught me. belive me three weeks is not long to stare at a book and listen to him lecture all day. i was there 1 month and i was really scared the in 1 years some of those kids were gonna be working in dealerships. belive me these guys were stupid. we would spend to much time on something that took five minuets to learn. cars are not that complex to leard but those kids thought so. the second reason why i quit is this. you can let kids in the class that is in lab to work on your car. well my friend told me that he pulled his truck in to get brake pads. the installed them UPSIDE DOWN. to beat it all the instructor was there helping them. the guys that did his car was there half a year!!!!!!! good god its not to terribly difficult to install pads. my point is this. do not waste your time with a school like uti. belive me they teach you nothing more then you can with a community collage can. all community collage are working towards one thing. passing the ase certification test. you get the same edcation in my opinion. i was not gonna spend 21 grand to realize that. if any of you guys are concidering uti please email me and i will tell you the truth before you fall into the same hole. the school on the hole was ok but my point is its not worth 21 grand. ohh and one more thing. they have a dyno room and three school cars. a mustang gt, a trans am with a ls1 engine, and a turb honda civic sohc vetec. well a week before i left the blew two rods through the civic block on the dyno because of to much boost. it shows you how well they teach you about performance huh?

What campus do you go to? I go to the one up in PA and i love it. Im always in the Lab, like atleast a stright week out of the 3... i've been there for about 15 weeks (5 phase's) and its the greatest thing i've ever done, Maybe it was just that campus, i dunno. and about the blowing up cars on the dyno, and blowing them up, well, we do that to, and its great, we turbo'd a brand new GTO and blew the trans, we just rebuilt it and kept going, learning is all about breaking things.. plus its not our cars, lets fuck'em up by pushin all the power we can out of them!! people, don't just take one guys word for it, Email me, i'll tell you about the fun we have up at the campus i go to, work and learn about cars all day... party hard a night and get shitfaced and wake up, and do it all over again.... i don't wanna leave
