Dogbone motor mount removal

I need to replace the waterpump on my 95 SSEI. It appears that the dogbone motor mount bracket will have to be unbolted from the block to remove the pump (unless it will slide out from underneath the bracket - unlikely). Can anyone tell me if the motor mount must be removed and if so, how and where do I support the block to remove the mount? Any pointers or advice to make the pump replacement easier would also be appreciated.
