headers and intake
Okay i heard somewhere that i would need a new intake when i do a B18 engine swap into a 96 civic ex. is this true or can i use a civic ex intake? it's going to be a CAI not a SRI soo...and then also i'm going to need headers right? do they make smog legal headers or can i pull off some factory headers off an integra 1.8L and fit those when i need to smog? Or better question still, will the acura headers fit in the civic? i haven't seen the acura headers so i don't know...any tips or tricks?

As far as the intake ex one will work. Headers you dont have or can't use my LS1 uses Headers you have a header just 1. You can fit b18 stock ones on with no problem. Depending on your area whats legal and not you might be able to run an aftermarket one.

i'm planning on running aftermarket headers but i live in cali so i have to get the car smogged every couple years. so i haven't heard of any headers that are smog legal...at least not by cali terms. so i can take headers from an acura with a B18 and they'll fit in my civic no problem, at least for smog?

If you say headers and are talking about an inline 4 one more time god help you.....
In cali you'll need a carb legal part then DC sports and Greddy both should have it. |

lets make sure you have it right....header.....
The CAI might work depending on the bends in the pipe, but you could always mutilate it....
