arguement
Gentlemen:
To help settle an arguement, did Ford ever come out with a dohc 427 motor in a street machine? And if they did, what year? Also, who had the first 427 engine, Chevy or Ford? Thank you for your time and efforts. Sincerely, Jack McGrath |

Re: arguement
The 1963-1/2 Galaxie 500 Q-code and R-code and 1964 Thunderbolt had the Ford 427.
1963-1/2 Galaxie 500 R-code http://www.supermotors.org/vehicles/...sue01-a1-1.php Only 100 Fairlane Thunderbolts were partially built by the Ford Motor Company and shipped to Dearborn Steel Tubing for completion. The Thunderbolts were finished as drag race-only machines for Super Stock, Super Stock Automatic, and A/FX class competition.
