Hi, I'm new. Here are my latest(ITR and Lightning)

Hi there, I haven't built a model in over 2 years, but when I was younger I built quite a few. I was just admiring all the fine works you guys have put out and thought I would share my two most recent builds.

The first one is a Revell ITR that I built about 3 years ago. Nothing special, no detail work, just plain and simple ITR.(Sorry the pics suck)

Here's my most recent...although it is still over two years old! I absolutely love this one. It's so ghetto fabulous, I love it! No detail lines, painted over emblems, no engine, hacked up suspension(if you want to call it that!) The grill was left painted the body color. It was going to be silver, but I totally dug the matching blue.

In case you couldn't tell(it would be hard not to ), I didn't build it for automotive accuracy, I built it to suit what I wanted out of this kit.

Anyway, I just wanted to share and say nice work to all of you. I enjoy looking at your work!

Nice! I like the wheels on the Teg... Lightning looks sweet! Was it built to do a little hopping? (last 2 pics)

Welome to AF. Nice builds, and the first couple of ITR pics are pretty darn good (IE In focus LOL).

Thanks! Sadly, the Lightning doesn't hop(it was made to appear like it is dragging), I just have two different settings for the front height. I re-used some of the bed floor that I cut out, drilled two sets of holes for each square and glued the squares to the frame. Since I'm using regular old bar axles I can choose what position I put the bar through at.

Here are some pictures of the ugly side. This is where things get truly ghetto-fab!

Thanks, I guess that's what I get for depeding on technology! The darn digi-cam is supposed to auto focus. Oh well, it kinda suits the models since they too are kinda half-assed and rushed!

Thanks for all the kind words, guys. The great work I've seen from this community has gotten me back into building models. I have a few ideas of what I want to try next and with the information I've found here I think I can greatly improve my skills.

Thanks again.

Thanks alot man! Yeah, the ITR is a bit dusty, lol. I think in the future I will put the models in cases to keep the dust off! Thanks again for the kind words.

Yes, that was only one coat of blue on the interior. When the model is completely assembled you can't tell. I guess since you have such small viewing angles of the interior through the side windows and the murky clear windshield, coupled with more shade/shadows from the cab, it's not too bad.
