Re: Dohc Vtec's

Ok let me rephrase this. I don't care about the facts. This is based on your experiences
how they run, reliability, performance for the buck.

Re: Dohc Vtec's

that you said to me.......B18C1 is a good engine....i have one in my 99 GSR and it is a smooth engine and makes a good amount of power stock, but still gets good gas mileage...

i cant help it. its true. you can put some good power in any b series motor. there really are thousands of threads and info out there that will show you the goods and bads of each motor. its just that AF is a forum that alot of new people to the scene come through. teaching them that using the search function and researching will be the best thing they can learn, than, sitting around and waiting for people to say a b18c is better than a b16a.

Good point with lack of searching though if they started searching all they would find is posts listed Search lol!!

On that fact I like the B motors fondness for the B18c1 and b18c5.

Maybe we *OGs people who can change oil* should all work on some things to get stickied so we can link them or dare say they read it?

I'd be happy to do some write ups.

Re: Dohc Vtec's

Well i already have a swap. I went with the b16a. The reason i put this page up is to see why you did or would rather go with a certain motor/head. Not for the fact that i don't know the diff., but for that fact that i didn't buy a GSR or got ls-vtec. So i wanted to know why you went with what you have.

Re: Dohc Vtec's

i choose the b16, because, it is cheap, good to boost, and readily avaliable.

same could be said of the b18b.
