Question differentail

i have an 02 siverado z71. i shattered some gears inside the differentail how do i go about getting it out. ive took off the pumpkin cover. now im stuck

If you are stuck after only taking the cover off , there is not much else you are going to be able to do from there. I am not being a dick or anything , just saying that replacing a gear set is not a simple task, you really have to know what you are doing or they will not last.

Gotta pull the half shafts and c-clamps.

As Kenny said, all you'll accomplish doing the replacement yourself without the proper skills is in blowing out another set of gears in very short order. They have to be spaced exactly.

If you want a DIY solution, go find a junkyard axle and swap the entire axle.
