I have a 1970 nova. Its needes two new rocker panels. I have both rockers but i just need some advice on how do install them. like should i cut out the old ones so the new ones fit flush in there or should i cut the old ones out leaving a little overlap to weld the new ones on to?
Thanks DAN |

Re: Replaceing Rocker Panles
You need to leave a little for the overlap.

Re: Replaceing Rocker Panles
Quote:
You start by tacking in the rocker and do not tack in the same area due to heat and warping issues. tack on area and then another area. I weld in whole panel. takes awhile then you might have to hammer dolly a bit. once you get it somewhat straight, mist alittle bit of black paint and block sand the area then you can tell your high low spots. |

Re: Replaceing Rocker Panles
Thread closed. For obvious reasons.
