Re: cable transmission vs. hydraulic transmission

aside from their physical and mechanical differences. the hydro trannies are just more avaliable nowadays. it is very hard to find decent cable trannies when you need one.

Re: cable transmission vs. hydraulic transmission

cable and hydros difference is only the clutch. i mean the trannys parts are different but its just a tranny and its the clutches that are different. and like super said hydros are just more available and in better condition.

btw do you konw anyone who wants to sell a fucked up tranny?

Re: cable transmission vs. hydraulic transmission

yeah the cable feels better because you have more control over your clutch.

difference in the tranny themselves other than the clutches is

90-91 b trannys can swap parts
92-01 b trannys can swap parts, even thouh the 92-93 is cable, its gearing is the same as the hydros

So... they have diffrent feels to them, the cable tranny feels like you have more control, but the hydro tranny is more reliable?

Re: cable transmission vs. hydraulic transmission

but also with cable you gotta deal with the cable stretching, breaking pedal assemblies stuff like that
