I have a 96 chevrolet cavalier LS with a 2.4 litre engine. Does anyone know how to change the spark plugs? There is a metal bar running over the front that the plugs are plugged into. I can't figure out how to take it off to get to the plugs. Any help would be appreciated.

IF you are referring to the IDI cover which says 2.4L twin cam, then u just have to move the throttle cables out of the way and remove the four black bolts. Also make sure you disconnect the wirring harness that faces the right side.Pull this cover off and then just remove the plastic and rubber inserts which will expose the plugs. The best replacement plugs are to get platinum replacements. Dont waste your money on bosch 2s or 4s, etc. They dont do anything or might even cause problems. then torque the new plugs to 13 lb/ft and reverse the process for putting it all back together. hope this helps
