Simple Question on Side view Mirrors

I have a simple question after having both Side View Mirrors vandalized off my friends Geo Metro (1997) I want to know if I get 2 second hand ones are they simple to put on.

They are manual mirrors !!

Being a woman can someone explain to me how to do this or it could end up costing me an arm and a leg I guess.

Also anyone who wants to sit up all night with me car spotting on Fridays and Saturdays feel free to let me know. LOL
I need to see these people pay for all the damage they cause.

Re: Simple Question on Side view Mirrors

Having added turn signal lights to the inside of my side view mirrors and also repaired my right side mirror I can fill you in on the process and it's not hard, you just have to be careful and take your time. you'll need a phillips screwdriver, and a standard screwdriver or a butter knife or a "panel popper". Start on the inside of the door, the plastic triangle shape on the opposite side of the mirror, and with the flat tool of choice, very carefully pop the two tabs that hold it to the door. Try to pry as close to the tab as possible to avoid breaking it off. When my side mirror broke, in frustration I pulled the cover off by hand and broke one of the tabs off so now I have to replace it also. Once the cover is off you will need to remove the three phillips screws that hold the mirror on, support the mirror to avoid breaking any of the screw posts off. When reassembling make sure the screws are tight but be careful not to over tighten as the posts aren't very thick and have a tendency to break. If you break one of the posts off don't stress, just find some wood screws that are approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch longer and about the same thickness as the existing screws and they should work. Replace the cover and that's all there is to it.
