Re: Required Amp for Two 12'' TSW306SVC Subs

Just to get you started check ebay, ike sound or some of the other car audio sites for good audio prices look for Profile, Hifonics, PPI also remember you dont need the full 400rms for each sub you can power a sub at about 1/4 rms without hurting it. Granted the closer you get to the rms the more you can do with the amp as far as tuning it for the bass boost and crossover frequency without causing distortion or amp clipping. An amp between 300-800 would be perfect for the subs it also depends on the box setup and what kind of sound your going for. Stay away from cheap amps IE: boss, legacy, pyle, pyramid, crunch. And some amps are overpriced because of the brand name like kenwood, audiobahn, kicker they charge 300-600 for the same power amp that a profile has for about 100 give or take. This should be enough to get you started.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.
