2001 Buick Lesabre Delco Theftlock Help!
I bought an am/fm cass. cd delco radio off eBay. Does anyone know how to reprogram the theftlock, to unlock it, so I can put it in my Park avenue? As far as I know as long as there is power to it, it can be programmed though the face plate buttons. This is off a 2001 Buick Lesabre, and I believe the theftlock is the type that reads the vin of the car, the dealer said they can reprogram it, its not cheap, and I already paid a fortune for the radio, and was just wondering if anyone could help! Thanks

Re: 2001 Buick Lesabre Delco Theftlock Help!
The best i can do is direct you to the theftlock procedure for the Chevy full size trucks. Theres a chance that the procedure can work, and quite frankly, it cant hurt.

Thanks! That is for 1999/2000 and older, in 2001 the theftcode reads the vin, there is a code you enter on the front of the radio to get it to work but only the dealer knows that and they ain't telling unless I pay up! Also, the theftcode can not be deactivated at all from what they say, I just have to continue entering the code the dealer gives me after they reprogram it. Lifes lessons I guess! Thanks again! Rob
