Heat only High setting??

Any idea how to fix this problem. I turn on the heat in the cab and all the low settings blow no air, but the highest setting does, id like to leave the heat on low to continuously keep the windshield defrosted while driving but i have to keep cranking it on to high and back off again cause i get to damn hot. Any idea on how i can fix this or what part is malfunctioning and i need to replace??

Re: Heat only High setting??

All setting except for high go thru a resistor pack so you need to inspect that part.

What year is your truck?

Goto http://www.acdelco.com/html/catalog/index_img.htm and type 15-8788 to see a picture of what it looks like. Sometimes they get corroded and break.

It will be up under that dash near the blower motor.

You should be able to get at it from underneath the passenger side.

You should not have to remove the dash but I have not changed one on a 96.
