unstable idle

Hello,
My 2000 Passat 1.8 is starting to have an unstable idle. When in park it is ok. But with a load it fluxes. I changed the MAF sensor last year. The MAF sensor seems loud. I do not recall hearing it kick on before. I replaced it when it had the same symptom. Is it time for the O2 sensor? Any thoughts or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
