Question about fake parts

Is it really a problem if the parts are fake, I mean who cares if it still works right? I think I have a fake part, just wondering if I should bother taking it back or not.

These are pretty much guaranteed to be poor quality parts. If these "fake" parts were quality, then they wouldn't need to bamboozle people by wrapping them up to look like OEM or quality aftermarket parts. So the only "problem", if you will, is that people end up paying high quality prices for bottom-of-the-barrel-quality parts.

Depending on what your part is, and how much you payed for it, I'd consider getting your money back. If it was only a few bucks, then it's probably not worth the hassle though.

my grandfather owned a vw shop for thirty years (i grew up and spent most of my life around vw and forien cars and i cant tell you how many time i saw customers who didnt want to pay for good quality parts and bought their own and a few weeks later they would be right back with the same problem and we would fix it right. the worst case was some guy bought a ready to run crate motor and one spark plug hole was striped out two were retaped but went in crooked and could not get a socket on them and the other one didnt even have threads. my opinion is you get what you pay for spend the extra money and you will save money in the long run
