You'll have to check the power suply and the ground.

If these are both good then you'll have a bad deck.
If it's a no exchange used deck you can look to see if theres an internal fuse, but that's about it

Did you cut and splice wires or use a pre-made harness . power supply wires may be reversed. Dumb question . Did the original deck work? Rob

Nice choice on deck. I'm going with the DEH-P860MP myself.

What else do you have for your audio setup? Still using factory speakers? Any amp / subwoofer(s)?

Re: Need Help Asap problem with new sterio

I don't have a blazer (ext. cab s-10), but I feel like post whoring... (i'm bored)
I have a panasonic cd/mp3 deck, factory fronts/rears, use to have 2 Resonant engineering 12's in a ported box with a gross volume of 5cubes, tuned to 32hz, powered by a Profile HA1000. I took them out, because I got kinda tired of the size of the box, and figured they would get stolen here at college. I am putting a single sealed RE 12 back in my truck over break. One of these days I am going to get around to fiberglassing front kick panels for 6.5" components, but that may be awhile.

Nothing much to speak of right now... some crapass deck came with the truck and it takes 20-30 seconds to get from the end of one song to the start of the next some times.
