Remember to use the search feature there before asking a tech question. It's discouraging for us to answer the same question a dozen times.

I know a good bit about motorcycles and I'm trying to get into learning about cars as well and I was hoping that the community could help me out. My limitations on working on a car is changing the brakes on my car (1990 Pontiac Bonneville) and changing the oil and the necessary filters.

I guess I'm asking if your beloved community of intelligent car people would help out a idiot?

oh yeah by the way I know how the forum works I've dealt with forums before.
working with the forums is the easy part but working with the people on the forum is a different story.

Actually since you have some experience already you are ahead of lots of newbies that show up here.
Ask away, and don't be shy. Its a pretty friendly bunch here.
BTW I have an '88 Bonneville and know many of their idiosyncracies.

I'm sure we have tutorials if you do a google AF search for brakes.
If not Drums are cake and disks are pretty easy if you buy new ones it's not to hard if your refurbishing then you'l need a brake lathe.
