Trust bearing or Starter motor
I had a 2nd opinon on my CV with regards to the Trust bearings gone. I had another mechanic look at my CV without telling him about what the first mechanic had found. The 2nd mechanic said that the starter is not fully retracting after car is starting and that is what is causing the noise that I am hearing. The 2nd mechanic said that the starter is hitting the fylwheel casuing the rattle noise. Question, would a worn Thust bearing casue the fylwheel to backin to the the starter ? Any opinion would be approcated.

If your thrust bearing is that bad then you should be able to move the crank. Usually you have burrs on the teeth of the flywheel causing this problem
