Off Topic - Fiat

Hey all;
I know, I'm the last person that puts up offtopic posts, but I need to know.

My boy has a 1975 fiat 124 spyder. Doesn't run, been sitting for too long. He wants to rebuild it, and knows nothing, so he wants me to do it. It used leaded gasoline! He said his dad redid the valves 15 years ago, and either the timing was off afterward and messed it up or it was off before the valve job. Body is in perfect shape... nice blue.

I haven't been able to go there and check it out. But I'm very interested in doing it. I'd pull the engine right away and tear that bitch apart. I think it sounds like fun. Anyone ever done a project like that? Shit, I'd do a DSM3D model for that too. Just because I can. lol. So what do you think?

Would it be worth it?

I'd say go for it. It doesn't sound like it would be that hard to get it running again and seems like a fun project if you have enough time.

Sweet. Go for it if you feel confident about your abilities, and maybe learn a few things on the way. Ofcourse keep us updated.

Re: Off Topic - Fiat

The 4g63 comes first! It's on its way people... This is my last week of school. So I got the time now. Adding so many details to both engines too. There's a pic of the 420a TB in one of the posts here.

I'm actually looking forward to it. It seems like an awesome project
