Thumbs down Making a jackass of yourself.

Today I succeded in making quite the ass of myself. I went into the liquor store to get a bottle of champagne. I'm looking over the prices/brands(as this is the only place in town open on sunday, and I never go there.) I find a bottle for $14.99 it's DOM (me being pretty out of it goes hummmm that's a really good price). I go up to counter to pay, and the kid says "what no Crystal today?" I'm like you guys carry that? How much? "$225." Damn man I can't believe some people will over $200 for a fucking bottle of champange. He's kinda giving me a funny look and rings up my bottle. "That'll be $155.55" My jaw drops/gasp for air. Go back to the shelf look at the price $149.99. Put two and two together duh!!!!!! It's fucking DOM dumbass. I proceed to slap myself in the head, bring the bottle back to the shelf, and grab my $9.99 bottle of Brute. Go up to the counter say i feel like such a fucking moron, pay, and leave with my head down. Prolly the most retarted thing I've done in a while. Seems to be a really good one to me. What one's you guys got. Peace-

Re: Making a jackass of yourself.

It's a new thing in NY. The store can do it but they gotta close another day of the week/makeup the hours they are open on sunday by either opening later or closing earlier other days in the week. Peace-

Re: Making a jackass of yourself.

thats not bad. You misplaced a decimal. Oops.

Ive got a bad one. I was waiting tables and after a small dispute with my customers, I cashed them out. They wanted to put 1 third of it on the credit card and then bring back their bill. I did that, and after they left I counted their cash. A dollar short.

So I went outside and shouted "Hey guys don't worry about that last dollar, I got it for you. Have a WONDERFUL night." (obvious sarcasm in my voice.) I shook my head at them and went back inside. I was sooo pissed. It fucked my day up. I was just so frustrated that people would scam me for a free drink, make up a lie that some lady put an extra martini glass on their table, and then short me a dollar. Well, I pulled the money out of the booklet to put it with all my other cash, and then I saw the credit card slip underneath with an 11 dollar tip on it. OOPS! Aw snap, son. Felt like a dickhead after that.

Re: Making a jackass of yourself.

I went on holiday to Poland with the gf recently. Someone called up and asked where i was. I said "Hungary". Wrong country... that's pretty damn stupid.

I was mighty shit-faced though
