1997 Jimmy License Plate Lamp

So I got pulled over last night for having my license plate lamp out, after I got home and looked at it, I couldn't figure out how to get it out to replace it... Can anyone tell me how to get it out of there so I can put in the new one.

If you look up on either side of the lens, there are 2 7mm screws. Remove them and it comes out. Replacement bulb is a standard 194

I got pulled over too, no ticket just a warning. So I had to change the bulb. I purchased a 194 bulb, at an auto store. I had to lay on my back with a flash light to see it. Used a flat head to take off my plate (only to not get scratched by it and more room for the power drill) . I used a 9/32 Hex socket with a bit. I attached it to my drill, because the Ratchet key was to hard for me to maneuver with a secure grip. I have a tower on the back of my SUV, so I had to apply pressure upward with the drill to secure the head in order not to strip. Once unscrewed I pulled the light cap out and twisted the cover off, change bulb with a napkin. Put cover on, set back in place, then screws. On the bulb pack since it is a two pack, I put 9/32 Hex socket with a bit, on it for future use. Took me about an hour because I didn't apply pressure to get a secure grip. Didn't know it was a little flexible.
