shift linkage PIN
im almost done taking out my b16a motor... and i realize the shift linkage pin is still there...
how the fuck do you get it OUT... i've banged on it with a hammer and a phillips screwdriver for hours with no movement... i tried all renches banged on them nothing the fucker wont move is there any easy way to get this out that i'm just not seing? |

idk if its possible but with my d series when i took it out. i jsut left it attached and pulled the motor out with the shiftlinakge lol. nah but theres a certain punch idk what size but it fits perfectly with the pin and thats the best way to get it out.

Yup, just get the right size punch and pound it out with a hammer. works every time (for me at least). I dont remember what size it was
. Or just pull motor with Linkage attatched like civickiller mentioned.Shouldnt be all that hard. i removed LS with linkage still attatched. took a little more time to remove due to keep having to check for clearance, but not much. Up 2 you.removing Pin is easier way if you can get it out :Edit: Bingo!! it is a 8mm pin punch to remove spring pin ![]() ![]() GL

Or the long 8mm bolt that bolts the AC compressor to the block works perfect if you dont have the punch handy.

i just used a 8mm punch and a hammer... took me all of 30 seconds
