Dashboard Center Console Removal

I get into my wife's 2000 Ford Fuck'd up and turn the heater blower fan on. Of course this is the time when this particular component decides to break. It's not the fan, it's the switch that controls it. Being December, this is not good. She now has no defrost and drives 40 miles to work and back each day. How the hell do you get the black center console, which houses the ac/heat controls as well as the radio, out ????
If I break it she has promised another fifteen years of hell!!!

Re: Dashboard Center Console Removal

usually there are 2 little holes in each side that fit a tool into them (not sure about yours) most ford garages will pop it out for free (my friend did it in his escort when he eplaced the tape deck with a cd player) but if thats not how it's done, then i reccomend Haynes, really good resourse
