Traction Control noise

I have a 2000 Merc G/M and when the traction control engages there is a noise that comes from (i think) the dash. it sounds like a muffled noise maker. it only lasts the first second that it engages.

anyone else have this?

Re: Traction Control noise

Since the traction control is actually part of the anti lock brakes, you might hear some pulsing when it activates. I know I did on my Crown Vic.

Mine does the same thing. It sounds like a muffled anti-lock brake noise if the tires break loose under light accelleration. It's normal, my friend's crown vic does it too.
