Headlights on 98 GMC

I got a 98 GMC and it seems the theheadlights on low beams are very weak, hard to see the road on a dry night. I am running silverstar bulbs now, could it be the bulbs or are my lights out of alignment, I can't figure out how to align the headlights don't know where the adjusting screw is. any help would be a great thing.

To aim head lights find a flat surface that will give you 25 feet from the front of your truck and a wall. Pull your truck up to the wall and with tape, paint somthing mark the wall strait across from your head lights vertically and horizontally back up 25 feet and the strongest part of your light beam should be on the marks that you made, if not adjust your lights.

I thought I had the same problem with my (96 GMC. I had asked the local shop when getting my truck safety inspected and the owner had said that this is normal. he aid the way the headlight houseings were made are prone to clouding not allowing total light to be projected forward. hea said he had tried most other products that "so called" clear the lenses or polish the lenses and found that all they did was make them look good but still not help the light projection. I also have the silverstar bulbs in mine too. the best I can say is to get an aftermarket headlight system upgrade that include bulbs and houseings.
