So L you got a dark metallic red one as well? Was it the one M originally bought? Otherwise I now know of 5 of them in total.
My LM is still in the process, I screwed up the last one because the paint was not any good after the poor sanding job I did, had to strip it all down again as I want it perfect!

Take care mate, nice to see youre still around!

Thorst.

For a model out of production for a few years there seems to be an endless supply of them up for sale! MM mentioned having 14 of them in stock recently and there's been a seller on Ebay who has sold at least 10 in the last few weeks plus at least 10-12 individual ones and a certain shop trying to get extremely high prices for their stock. They don't seem to be fetching anything like the prices that have been discussed before on this forum with several on Ebay going unsold at under $500 and only one recently selling as high as $700. Maybe Minichamps will sort out the license issues and re-release it. It would cost more than when first released but still a lot less than what people are trying to get for them on Fleabay.

If that's true it serves to prove my point: this model is nowhere near as rare as people would like to make out. With really rare models even Ebay only turns one up every few months or so. This thing is everywhere!

Well it is a rare model no matter what you think and the reason you see it on Ebay all the time is because people earn a lot of $$$$ selling these PMA models.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

See, an old Silver in damaged condition still fetches $700!!

I have 10 1:12 PMA's myself , including all the colors in mint condition.
I've had over 40 different 1:12's over the years.

Rite buddy!
even i sell to make a few bucks profit but at the same time, dont mind stocking them for a looooong time either as they look so real in this scale rather than in any other scale.also gives me a feeling that the money i invested on these is a neglegible fraction of what you pay to afford a real one..

Yes and in that same auction the seller states car and box in perfect condition so most people reading that are not expecting a damaged model! Even the ones who caught the bit about hinge needing glueing are probably clueless about what that would entail or if it is even possible.
Similarly another one that sold recently on Ebay at a fairly decent price did not include the box or packaging materials. That wasn't mentioned in the description at all!
None of which changes in the least my point that these things turn up an awful lot on Ebay.
BTW, anyone else notice the 4-5 Chinese sellers recently all with the same pictures and almost the same description, all with suspicious payment terms and auctions as short as 1 day? Anyone betting on the odds of actually receiving the model from one of those auctions?
