Cassette player issue
I have a 2001 Yukon XL with the (slave) cassette player. The acdelco one. I am getting a "Clr" display in the upper part of the stereo, thus wanting me to clean the tape player. I have tried more than enough times to clean it, and it repeatedly ejects the tape! I have tried to reset the "Clr" display also by holding down the "eject" button for 5 seconds per instructions in the manual. Still, that doesn't work. Anyone have any helpfull ideas????

One day, I just started trying different combinations and eventually figured out the correct sequence to reset it. Unfortunately, I don't drive the Yukon during the week and I have the directions hand written in my owner's manual. I will post my directions late tonight West Coast time and you can see if my directions work for you. //2000CAYukon |

Re: Cassette player issue
OK. Here are my notes. Let me know if this works for you.
1. Ignition in Run or Aux 2. Press and Hold Recall and Eject at the same time for 5 seconds. 3. Release Eject but keep pressing Recall. 4. Press Eject again while still pressing Recall. Hold until Cln resets. Sure hope that works. I know that I have done this twice on my 2000 and I got lucky finding the sequence. //2000CAYukon |
