Rebuilding bottom end
Ok all,
I am planning on rebuilding my bottom end this summer and just wanted some advice. I have never taken on a task this large, and I am pretty scared to start. Any good writeups that you have come across, just general advice etc.... |

take your time, torque things down to spec, and make sure before you put something in, coat it with some oil, to prevent a hard start.

I'd do it with someone that has some experience.
When you say the "bottom end" are you doing a shortblock rebuild or just slapping in new bearings at the crank/rods? |

bottom end includes these parts:
pistons, rings, crankshaft, bearings, journals, oil pan gasket(and pan), etc, etc, everything under the head gasket.
